What an absolute privilege and honour to be asked to shoot Vicky & Alex's Wedding Day.

Alex's best man Rich revealed in his speech that the happy couple met via the online world of Tinder back in 2014. That brought back very happy memories for me as thats exactly how I met my wife Alison back around the same time. When I met with Vicky & Alex earlier in the year, they told me their wedding was going to be relaxed. They planned to go against British Tradition by having a 'First Look' then would travel together to the ceremony.

So, I arrived around 2 hours before the scheduled departure to capture both the Bride & Groom preparations.

Once they were ready, Vicky & Alex headed downstairs for their 'first look'...

Before heading to Morden Park House in laidback style on an old London Routemaster bus.

It was an absolutely scorchingly hot day in South London and everyone was melting. As the sun was out, Vicky & Alex were able to have the ceremony they would have been dreaming about, under the giant Gazebo in the substantial beautiful gardens.

Once the ceremony was done, I captured some beautiful portrait shots of Vicky & Alex, making the absolute most of the beautiful building and the grounds. Then we captured some formal group shots of the Bridal Party with their families, bridesmaids and groomsmen.

Then I finished off the group shots by taking the best group shot of all. From the sky. I broke out the drone just above the trees and shot the guests in front of the stunning building. It takes some organisation but it is oh so worth it when you see the final result.

Once I'd grabbed all the group shots we wanted, it was time to jump back on the bus and head back to the reception at The Bedford. The Bedford is a very large trendy pub in Balham, a couple of minutes walk from Balham Station, with a large restaurant area which can be hired for weddings. It also had the added bonus of being a hotel, so rooms can be hired.

An incredible day, a beautiful venue and a fabulously fun, laid-back Bride & Groom. It was one of my favourite weddings in ages.
