Below, I've tried to answer some of the most frequently asked questions that I get as a Kent Wedding Photographer...
What areas do you cover?
Generally I cover London and the counties of Kent, Essex, Surrey, Sussex, Herts and Middlesex. I'm happy to travel anywhere home or abroad as appropriate.
How do we book?
Please contact me by using the contact form on the front of my website, telephone, email or through direct message on Facebook or Instagram and I'll respond with my availability within 24 of your enquiry will a quotation for me services and we can go from there.
How much is it to secure my date? And when is the final balance payable? Will there be any other charges?
The 'booking fee' is £250 which is non-refundable.
The remaining balance is due 14 days before your wedding.
No, there will be no further charges unless you order an album or photobook. We can discuss this once you've seen your photographs.
Upon confirmation of your booking, I will provide you will a contract that we both sign, outlining what services I am providing along with my terms & conditions.
Do you take on more than one wedding or event per day?
No, absolutely not. Once I am booked for your day, you have my full undivided attention.
Am I insured?
Yes. I have full Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance cover. I can provide copies of my Public Liability insurance for wedding venues as and when required.
What equipment do you use?
I shoot with Nikon full frame cameras. Most of the images that you will see on this website were taken with a Nikon D850 and a Nikon D750. I use a variety of different lenses, both primes and zooms, dependant upon the image I'm trying to create. I also use Godox speed lights and strobes to get creative when the natural light is limited.
Where and how do you store my images after the shoot?
I take data reliability very seriously indeed. Both cameras have a double memory card slot, which enables me to save each image created to two separate memory cards. I have never had a memory card failure but it does happen so I ensure I take every precaution. As soon as the shoot is over, I will save the images to a separate folder in my laptop as well as saving them to a folder in an external hard drive. Once your images have been fully edited, the final images are saved on my NAS drive, which automatically backs up to a cloud backup provider. I will, of course, upload your images to a proofing gallery from where you can download them if you wish.
Do you shoot JPEG or RAW?
Most definitely RAW. I like to get the image perfect in camera but by shooting RAW gives that extra flexibility when I'm editing the images in Adobe Lightroom and/or Adobe Photoshop.
What files will I receive?
The final images you will receive will be hi-res JPEGs with full usage rights (unless otherwise stated).
Can I have the RAW files?
No, sorry. I only supply JPEG files.
When will I get my photographs?
During peak wedding-season, when I'm extremely busy, I would estimate 4-6 weeks but generally speaking, I'll aim to get them to you in 2-3 weeks.
What if I'm unwell?
I have my own trusted network of photographers that can step in to cover me at a moments notice in the unlikely event of being unwell.
I use the same network to provide second photographers where this option is chosen.
How am I able to use my photographs?
Generally speaking, for private use, you can use them as you like. You can print or share them, copyright-free.
However, please note you cannot use them for commercial puposes. If you get asked by a wedding magazine, another wedding supplier or anyone else if they can use the photographs, please direct them to me. In most cases, they can be used with my prior permission but I cannot accept them being used for commerical purposes without my prior permission and a fee will be issued for unauthorised usage.
If you have any further questions not covered by the above, please don't hesitate to ask.
